Aswell as helping the environment you will be paid for all the electricity you generate through the Governments Feed-in Tariff (FIT) scheme. Combined with the savings you should make on your energy bills, you should recover the cost of your investment and in time, make a significant return.
How FIT payments work:
You will be currently be paid up to 41.3p for every unit of solar electricity you generate and an extra 3p for every unit you don’t use and export to the electricity network.
The payments are tax free on domestic installations and will last for up to 25 years.
FIT payments are inflation-linked and will be adjusted every year in line with the Retail Prices Index, to help protect your return on investment.
A free detailed survey of your property would be carried out by our fully qualified engineer, to assess if your property is suitable and to answer any questions you may have. We are fully qualified in solar voltaic systems and maintenance of the system. We are a NIC EIC registered company and fully comply with part “P” and BS7671 regulations, full certification will be issued on completion.

Q.What is the NIC EIC?
A.NIC EIC is the electrical contracting industry`s independent voluntary body for electrical installation matters throughout the UK. As part of J.O.S. continued membership with the NIC EIC we have annual assessments visits from one of the NIC EIC inspecting engineers. The visit consists of an inspection of our electrical installation work and also an assessment of our electrical knowledge to ensure we meet high standards
Q.What is part 'P'?
A.Part P of the building regulations was introduced by government in 2005 and effects all electrical work carried out in dwellings. People carrying out electrical work in homes and gardens in England and Wales should follow the requirements set out in part P of the building regulations to ensure they are complying with the law. These rules are designed to ensure electrical work is safe.
Q. Are there any warranty’s and insurances you provide?
A. There is a full 12 months warranty on all our work and a manufactures warranty on all parts. We are covered by full public liability of up to 2 million pounds.
Q. What areas do you cover?
A. J.O.S Electrical is based in Birmingham and cover the Birmingham and Solihul area`s, the West Midlands and beyond. We are happy to travel to all areas, and have even completed re – wires in France, so feel free to get in touch where ever you are.
